The Odeon cinema chain has closed all its UK outlets, following the British Prime Minister’s guidelines to ‘avoid all non-essential contact and travel’.
The Prime Minister’s advice stopped short of ordering the closure of bars and restaurants though, prompting questions about the effectiveness of such advice.
All Odeon branches in the UK will remain shut until further notice.
It is unclear if the Irish outlets will be affected.
