British medical authorities have confirmed that fourteen people have undergone tests for the deadly coronavirus in the UK. Five of these tested negative, the rest are awaiting results.
There have been no fewer than 500 confirmed cases worldwide, with 19 deaths reported so far.
The origin of the outbreak has been traced to an animal market in the heavily populated Chinese city of Wuhan.
Chinese authorities have imposed a lockdown order on the cities of Wuhan and Huanggang in an effort to prevent further spread of the virus.
