A recent report is warning that the Covid-19 pandemic ‘could push up to half a billion people into poverty worldwide’.
The Dignity Not Destitution report, published by charity Oxfam, delves into the devastating economic effects of the pandemic, the results of which could push around 8% of the world population into ruin.
Oxfam is now urging world leaders to work together to prevent this grim prediction from becoming a reality.
