Ireland has a chance of seeing an end to lockdown restrictions but the UK appears to be spiralling out of all control.
The UK has reported the death of 888 more people from Covid-19-related causes over the last 24 hours.
The official death toll there now stands at 15,464. This figure does not include patients who may have died outside of a hospital setting.
There currently are a total of 114,217 confirmed infections across the UK.
