The Tanaiste Simon Coveney put on his tough guy hat this morning when he got out of bed.
It appears that Coveney is getting fed up with the entire debacle about what will actually happen on the border between the north and south. Will there be a hard border, will there be a hard Brexit, and on it goes.
Speaking to the the Oireachtas Foreign Affairs Committee, according to RTE, Coveney said:
“It is incredible in my view that the British parliament has allowed it come to this,”
“But that being said I still believe there is a way to get through this process and to have a managed, controlled and predictable Brexit.”
the EU needs a deal as much as we need a deal”.
“That is just factually not true first and foremost. But we do want a deal, when I say we I am talking about the EU. We want to be reasonable and fair about that”.
