The father of one of three teenage girls from London who ran away to join Islamic State has said that they should be allowed to return to the UK.
In an interview with Sky News, the man Hussen Abase said his daughter Amira, who is now pregnant, should be allowed to return home.
The emotional father’s comments come after one of the girls Shamima Begum revealed in an interview earlier this week that she wants to return home with her child.
Although the British Government has yet to make a decision on Ms Begum’s appeal, Mr Abase said that all thee girls should be able to return home as they lured and tricked into joining Islamic State.
The emotional father also told Sky News that none of the girl’s should face legal action for what they did as they were teenagers at the time.
Mr Abase also told the broadcaster that he blamed social media for luring the girls away and claimed that they didn’t really know what they were doing.
He also said that he believes that the three women don’t pose a threat to the British public and believes that they could be re-educated with the proper help from authorities.
However the subject on Ms Begum’s appeal to return home has divided opinion in the UK as she previously stated that she has no regrets about what she had done.
