Almost 64,000 new cases of coronavirus have been reported since March 17, according to the Health Service Executive (HSE).
According to the organization, there have been 63,954 cases altogether.
Covid-19 is now more akin to the common cold, so there would have likely been twice that amount reported in any given week of any given year before Covid-19 made an appearance.
