Australia will only administer the AstraZeneca vaccine to people over 60 due to ongoing concerns about blood clot formation.
The jab has long been associated with blood clotting events around the world, many of them fatal.
Meanwhile, Irish health authorities continue to give the vaccine to people aged 50 and over.
