British authorities have declared a ‘major incident’ in Bournemouth, after thousands of people flocked to beaches in soaring temperatures.
Local councilors said there were ‘appalling‘ scenes as the beaches were literally packed with people as temperatures peaked beyond 35C.
Crowds did not maintain any sort of social distance, caused traffic gridlock, littering issues, and anti-social behavior, prompting the intervention of local police.
A massive spike in coronavirus cases is now almost certain to follow.
