Ireland’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tony Holohan is today warning that ‘too many people’ seem to still disregard lockdown rules, which is contributing to the worsening coronavirus situation.
The comments come on a day when 60 more people were confirmed to have died from Covid-19-related causes.
Official figures say that there have been 2,595 Covid deaths in Ireland so far, with many more predicted over the coming days and weeks.
Earlier today, a top doctor said that lockdown restrictions might remain in Ireland ‘for another 12 months.’
