Denmark is maintaining its suspension of the AstraZeneca vaccine for another three weeks, despite assurances to the vaccine’s ‘safety.’
The vaccine has been linked to instances of blood clotting in several countries, prompting the halting of its use. Most countries have now resumed administering it, but Danish medical authorities are still conducting their own investigation into the matter.
The issue arose in Denmark following the death of a 60-year-old woman a few days after taking the vaccine. The death was due to the formation of multiple blood clots in her body.
