Planning permission granted for Tayto Park rollercoaster




An Bord Pleanala have granted permission for a new €15m rollercoaster to be built at Tayto Park.

In an announcement made today Tayto Park said the 31 metre high and 748 metre long Suspended Thrill Coaster and a 24.2 metre high 238 metre long Family Boomerang ride has been given the go ahead after a two year delay.

It is understood that the project dubbed coaster 2021 will cost in the region of €15m to build.

The project was put on hold after planning was rejected over noise complaints.

It is believed that objections included concerns over screaming noise that could be heard by nearby residents.
