Denmark has temporarily suspended the administration of the AstraZeneca vaccine following multiple reports of serious adverse events, including one death.
It is understood that reports emerged of blood clot formation following administration of the vaccine. This led to at least one known death.
The adverse events are linked to a specific batch, which is also circulating in other European countries.
Use of the vaccine will be halted for at least 14 days pending further investigation.
