Face masks might be made mandatory on public transport ‘within weeks,’ if Minister for Transport Shane Ross has his way.

It is understood that the minister will bring the proposal up for discussion later today.

It is understood that some exceptions would be made, children aged under 13 and those with certain health issues, for example.
