The Irish Government appears to be setting up the narrative for summer lockdowns as they warn of a ‘second wave’ of the Omicron variant.
According to official figures, there have been almost 65,000 new coronavirus cases since St. Patrick’s Day.
It’s worth noting that the Omicron variant amounts to a common cold so it’s not uncommon to have thousands of such diagnoses in any week of winter/spring.
