Covid-19: HSE boss says that ‘Ireland has not yet seen the worst impact of the recent coronavirus surge’

The Health Service Executive (HSE)’s boss has said that ‘Ireland has not yet seen the worst of the recent coronavirus surge.’

Paul Reid is urging people to abide by public health guidelines as cases spike to levels unseen across the country.

Mr. Reid’s comments follow shortly after Ireland’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tony Holohan said that the country’s health system ‘cannot continue to cope’ with a sustained surge in Covid-19 cases.
