Infection levels across Irish hospitals are ‘out of control,’ according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organization (INMO).
The agency is calling for safety measures and standards to be upgraded immediately before the situation deteriorates even further.
The INMO has said that almost 2,000 staff have caught the virus at their workplace in a 14-day period.
