Irish health authorities have reported just under 17,000 new coronavirus cases over the past 24h.
Official figures say that there have been 16,986 infections confirmed in that period of time.
There currently are 804 people with severe Covid-19-induced disease across Irish hospitals today. It is unclear how many of these are ‘fully’ vaccinated.
