Covid-19: Johnson & Johnson jab to be given to people across Ireland aged 50 and older

The Johnson & Johnson jab is to be given to people across Ireland aged 50 and older, it emerged today.

It is understood that the vaccine will also be administered to younger people, if there are no alternatives available.

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine has been associated with blood clotting events in recent times, and its use was paused in the United States for that very reason. The jab was subsequently allowed to continue being administered.
