Turkey will enter full lockdown from Thursday until May 17th at least, in a desperate effort to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
There will be no work activity other than essential services, intercity travel will happen only with explicit permission, and public transport will operate at a reduced capacity.
The move comes after the country confirmed 37,312 new infections in a 24h period.
