The Chief Executive of the HSE Paul Reid has called on the public to continue following public health guidelines as the Covid-19 vaccine rolls out.
In a tweet Reid said: “Our vaccination programme & public support for public health measures continue to show great benefits as we’re now down to 163 Covid-19 patients in hospital & 48 in ICU.”
“Important that we continue this dual approach and we can all soon get back to much of what we value.”
Reid’s comments come as 1 million have received their first dose of the vaccine.
