Covid-19: Leading doctor says that local lockdowns ‘might need to be extended to six weeks’

A leading doctor has said that local lockdowns ‘might need to be extended to six weeks.’

Dr. Tomas Ryan was talking about the lockdown measures put in place for counties Kildare, Laois, and Offaly last week. These measures were met with dismay by residents and business owners across these localities.

Covid-19 is currently raging again across much of the world, raising the spectre of further full lockdowns down the line.
