A recently published study suggests that the original coronavirus outbreak in China might have been up to 10 times larger than reported.
According to the paper published by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), up to half a million people in Wuhan -the disease’s epicenter- and other Chinese cities might have been infected. This figure would be about 10 times larger than the official figure admitted by the Chinese Government.
Covid-19 has infected over 82m people worldwide since the first cases were detected in China about a year ago.
