Covid-19: NPHET bent on putting the last nail in the hospitality coffin by telling the Government to recommend shutting pubs and restaurants at 5pm over Christmas

The National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) appears hellbent on putting the last nail in the hospitality coffin by telling the Government to recommend shutting pubs and restaurants at 5pm over Christmas.

Most people see this order as a ‘lockdown by stealth.’

The vast majority believe that NPHET are acting out of spite, as people don’t follow their advice anymore. It’s also well known that NPHET have been openly hostile towards the hospitality industry, particularly pubs, since the start of the pandemic.
