COVID-19 outbreak: Possible case of coronavirus being treated at Dublin hospital

A possible suspected case of coronavirus has been reported in an Irish hospital, according to the Irish Sun.

The patient is being treated at St. Vincent’s University Hospital in Dublin.

The individual in question was moved to an isolation facility at the hospital.

It’s understood that the patient is a woman aged in her late 60s or 70s and presented in the A&E department with symptoms similar to those of the Coronavirus.

Staff took no chances and quickly moved the sick woman to a prepared isolation room where she is currently being monitored.

When contacted by The Liberal, the hospital said that it could not comment on any individual patient due to data protection.

No confirmed case of the coronavirus has happened in Ireland to date.
