Ireland now has one known confirmed case of coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland and one known confirmed case of coronavirus in northern Ireland.
It’s thankfully nowhere near as high as as the known confirmed cases in the mainland UK after British medical authorities confirm that three more cases of coronavirus have been detected, bringing the total cases of the disease across the UK to 23.
The new cases were detected at locations in Gloucestershire, Hertfordshire, and Berkshire. It is understood that two of the patients had recently returned from Italy, while the third just came back from Asia.
The virus keeps spreading at a rapid pace worldwide, with fears of a pandemic growing by the day.
