Covid-19: People who refuse to self-isolate might face a fine of up to £10,000




British authorities have warned that people who refuse to self-isolate might face a fine of up to £10,000, it has emerged today.

The new rules will come into effect on September 28. From that date, anyone who tests positive but fails to go into voluntary quarantine faces a £1,000 fine, which might rise to £10,000 for repeat offenders or serious breaches.

The UK is staring right at a second wave of coronavirus, which has prompted new lockdown measures, but many fear that a second total lockdown is will be in place in a matter of days.
