Pubs would remain close during the coming Christmas period if they are forced to shut again in the new year, according to Vintner’s Federation boss.

Padraig Cribben, speaking on behalf of the organization, said that it wouldn’t be worth opening for just a few days due to costs, logistical issues, etc.

There’s still no clarity as to whether or not pubs can open in the run-up to Christmas.
