Pandemic Unemployment Payment (PUP) recipients have been warned to close their claims on the very day they return to work, or face consequences.
It is understood that the Department of Social ‘Protection’ is prepared to go to great lengths to claw back any overpayment, minute as it might be.
Official figures say that just under 26,000 people closed their claim last week.
