Covid-19: Tanaiste says he’s ‘hopeful’ that the Irish economy will return to ‘close to normal’ by late summer

Former Taoiseach appointee and current Tanaiste Leo Varadkar has said that he’s ‘hopeful’ that the Irish economy will return to ‘close to normal’ by late summer.

Mr. Varadkar also reiterated that the Government will publish a National Economic Recovery Plan in the near future, outlining how Ireland’s economy will progress once the pandemic is over.

He also said that most adults in the country would be vaccinated by September.
