Covid-19: Taoiseach says that non-essential retail ‘unlikely’ to open up after March 5




 

Taoiseach appointee Micheal Martin has said that non-essential retail is ‘unlikely’ to open up after March 5.

Current Level 5 lockdown is due to expire on that date, but the Government recently said that Ireland aims for a ‘prolonged suppression’ of Covid-19.

In effect, what this possibly means is a prolongation of restrictions well into the summer and beyond.
