The UK has reported the death of 16 more people from Covid-19-related causes over the last 24h.
The official death toll there now stands at 41,397.
Here in Ireland, there have been two further deaths from Covid-19-related causes, with a total of 1,775 people having lost their lives from coronavirus illness here since the start of the pandemic.
European health agencies are urging Ireland to impose a full lockdown again to curtail the spread of Covid-19.
