Covid-19: Upmarket retailers Brown Thomas and Arnotts will reopen Wednesday, with some restrictions

Upmarket retailers Brown Thomas and Arnotts have announced their intentions to reopen on Wednesday, with some restrictions at their premises.

The Brown Thomas store on Grafton St. in Dublin will reopen this Wednesday, with the rest of the outlets in Limerick, Cork, and Galway reopening the following day.

Arnotts will also open on Wednesday.

It is understood that both retailers have devised a ‘virtual queueing’ system, whereby shoppers join a queue through an app-like device and receive a text when it’s their turn to go in.

Customers can also book ‘shopping appointments’ online before visiting the store for ‘one-to-one’ with the shopping team.

Both stores will only allow a limited number of shoppers at the premises at any one time.
