There have been a number of news stories in recent days focusing on blood clots, Covid-19 and vaccines.

Then there’s the man unidentified 69 year old man from Ohio who received a diagnosis of priapism while in hospital with severe Covid symptoms. The symptoms of Priapism is a prolonged and painful erection.
Medics who treated him said they believe Covid caused blood clots in his penis reports the Metro. Covid has been found to damage blood vessels in many patients since last March, causing dangerous blood clots.

The unfortunate man died of Covid in December 2020 and he is now the subject of a study by The American Journal of American Medicine.

The journal has outlined how the patient was obese and initially sedated and put on a ventilator when his lungs started to fail after 10 days of Covid treatment.

As is now standard operating procedure, doctors lay him face down for 12 hours as an emergency technique. When he was turned onto his back, nurses noticed he had developed an erection. An ice pack was applied to the patients penis but the stiffness remained for three hours.

Eventually blood had to be drained from the mans penis using a needle. Whilst this reduced the erection, the patient sadly died in in ICU when his lungs failed.
