
The Republic of Ireland football team have risen in FIFA’s world rankings to the position of 29th.
Ireland rose two places in FIFA’s following the latest assessment of the international rankings, whilst this years World Cup Champions France have moved to top spot on the list.
Germany have fallen from 2nd to 16th after an abysmal display in Russia, the country failing to advance from the group stags for the first time since 1938.
Northern Ireland have also risen two places to be ranked 27th in the world.
