The weather outlook for this coming weekend will be somewhat of a mixed bag as high temperatures combined with heavy rain showers will arrive on Irish shores.
According to Met Éireann today Friday, will see widespread showers across the country with many becoming more frequent in the North.
Although there will be plenty of showers, the national forecaster say temperatures will reach the low 20s.
Saturday will start off dry and bright, but as day moves on a wet front sweeping in from the West will see heavy downpours later in the day.
Temperatures will be once again high in most places and highs of 25C could be reached in southern areas.
Although the beginning of the weekend is looking bleak, Sunday is expected to be a lot drier as early morning showers will move away with sunshine expected in the afternoon.
Sunday will also see temperatures top 20C.
