In our first win of the RBS Six Nations, we finally got a decent win against Italy.
Reigning Champions Ireland started in flying form with a 25-3 lead going into half time.
It’s Ireland’s second biggest victory over Italy in the Six Nations history and for most of the match, it looked like we’d beat the record of 60-13 which we set back in 2000.
Schmidth’s team will now want to finish on a high against Scotland next weekend considering the dismal campaign so far. Then we head for a a three-match tour of South Africa in the summer where we have never won a test match before.
