
The Central Statistics Office has confirmed that the planned census in 2021 will be pushed back to 2022.
In an announcement the CSO said the cancellation comes as a result of the current Covid-19 pandemic.
The CSO say the decision to cancel the census was made in the interests of public and CSO field staff safety.
They added that by moving the census to April 2022 it will allow the Central Statistics Office to gather vital information that will benefit us all, the moving of the date will also allow everyone to take part.
