A ‘Danger to life’ warning is in effect in the UK today, as temperatures are expected to rise to 40C for the first time ever.
Authorities declared a ‘national emergency heatwave’ also for the first time in the country’s history.
The warning will remain in effect until Tuesday at noon at the earliest.
