
Six more persons have appeared before Dublin District Court to face charges related to public order offences stemming from yesterday’s events in Coolock, Dublin, increasing the total number of accused parties to 21, reports RTE.
Fifteen individuals were hauled before the court at its extraordinary meeting last night.
They were also given bail after being accused of violating public order.
Gary Daly, 45, of Burnell Square, Northern Cross, on the Malahide Road, was one of the six people charged today. He was accused of two public order crimes, including using derogatory, threatening, or abusive language or behaviour, and disobeying a garda’s orders.
A 69-year-old Drumcondra resident named Una Colgan is charged with the same two offences, reports RTE.
Alan Dunne, 63, of Coolock’s Bunratty Avenue, was accused of disobeying a garda’s orders.
Charged with the same offence as Hugh O’Rourke, 55, of Moatview Avenue, Priorswood in Dublin 17, and Edmond Butler, 53, of Holywell Crescent in Donaghmede, Dublin 13, was Tom Printer, 68, of Pairc Mhuire, Newbridge in County Kildare.
All of them were released on a €200 bond, subject to their continued absence from the former Crown Paints site located on the Malahide Road.
Additionally, several of the accused were told not to go near Coolock Garda Station.
Mr Printer is a retired man who is partially deaf. His solicitors informed the court that he had left his automobile at the police station, reports RTE.
