The Department of Health have confirmed that women who have been affected by the non-disclosure of the CervicalCheck audit will be entitled to €20,000.
In an announcement the Minister for Health Simon Harris the ex-gratia will be made available to those affected by the scandal.
It is understood the compensation package was agreed after the Health Minister requested that an independent panel reviewed the issue.
Speaking in the issuing of the compensation payments, Harris said the payments will be made in the near future.
