The Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn has urged the public to continue to follow public health guidelines and to avoid meeting indoors.
In a statement the Deputy Chief Medical Officer said that although children are returning to school today, people shouldn’t take it as a sign to return to work.
Glynn who was speaking about the decrease in cases said that people shouldn’t meet up indoors and even if they meet up outdoors they should limit their meetings to one other household whilst continuing to social distance.
Glynn’s comments comes as all school students will return to the classroom following the Easter break.
