The Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn has called on the public to follow public health guidelines.
In a tweet, Dr Glynn said that although the profile of Covid-19 has improved in recent weeks the public must continue to follow public health guidelines.
Dr Glynn living in Limerick in particular must continue to adhere to public measures as the incidence rate remains high.
He added that we must continue to follow the measures by meeting outdoors, avoid crowds, keep distance from others & come forward for testing if you have any concerns.
