The minions from the hit movie franchise Despicable Me, may be taking over the world in cinema’s across the globe at the moment, but it now seems they are considered threat at Dublin Airport as security at the nations major airport seized a replica toy fart gun from innocent child this afternoon.
It is understood the replica toy was Despicably (no pun intended) taken from the child after security deemed it dangerous. A spokesperson for Dublin Airport told reporters that the toy had been seized, as the airport’s list of prohibited items forbids any kind of replica gun. The spokesperson further explained that Dublin Airport adheres to strict security procedures as they are audited internally as well as externally by two separate bodies “so we have to apply a consistent approach”.
It is believed the toy will be held at the airport until the child returns back to the country.
