Heads are sure to roll in the Sri Lankan police department after it’s been claimed that authorities knew 10 days in advance of yesterday’s horrific and pure evil terrorist act in a number of churches and hotels on Easter Sunday.
It’s now understood that Sri Lankan police had issued an intelligence alert warning that terrorists were planning to hit ‘prominent churches’ 10 days before the Easter bombings occurred.
Eight people have now been arrested in connection with the attacks which killed at least 207 people and injured close to 500 more.
According to the BBC, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said:
“so far the names that have come up are local,” but that they’re also looking at “overseas links”.
He conceded that “information was there” about possible attacks prior to the devastation.
