Disappointment for Eastenders fans as BBC announces the departure of Danny Dyer’s character Mick Carter

Fans of Eastenders regular Mick Carter are facing disappointment as it has been reported that actor Danny Dyer is planning to leave the show when his contract comes to an end later this year.

According to the BBC, an explosive leaving storyline is being prepared for Carter, who has become a strong favourite with fans since he joined the soap in 2013.

Mick is the current landlord of the iconic Queen Victoria pub which he runs with his wife Linda Carter, who is played by Kellie Bright.

An insider on the show said:

“Danny made the decision quite some time ago that he would leave the show this year, which has given bosses plenty of time to plan a huge storyline for him.”

44-year-old Dyer has won three National Television Awards for his work in the role.
