Out of the 10,961 waiting, 7,167 have been on the list for over a year.
In June 2025, a total of 1,205 children (and/or their parents) who were on the CDNT waiting list took part in at least one individual or group-based intervention session, reports Breaking News.
The HSE region with the highest number of children awaiting first contact with a CDNT is Dublin and North East, where 2,926 children are waiting. Of these, 2,054 have been waiting for more than 12 months.
This region includes North Dublin, Louth, Meath, Monaghan, and most parts of Cavan, reports Breaking News.
