Unbelievably, homeowners may have to pay fees of up to €1,000 for Irish Water to even deliver water to their homes.
A ‘road opening’ will be required for many people to have the proper pipes fixed and able to carry the water supplies to their houses supplied by this new Irish Water company.
Local authorities must be contacted and carry out a ‘road opening’ which carries a hefty price tag of a minimum of €600.
Protestors are standing strong and believe the national protest next Saturday will be the breaking of the water charges.
