A man has died after being shot in the head with a shotgun. The incident took place just before midnight last night near a housing complex in Buckingham Street, in Dublin north inner city. The body remains at the scene.
The area has been sealed off for a technical examination.
Gardai conducted a number of searches after the incident, in an attempt to locate the suspect.
