According to reports a priest has been injured following a disgraceful robbery at a cathedral in Belfast last night.
It is believed that two men broke in to St Peter’s Cathedral in the Divis area at approximately 9:30pm last night. It is also understood that one of the men was carrying a firearm. The PSNI say the two assailants feed the scene with a significant sum of money.
A Police spokesman has said the priest was in the church at time when the disgusting attack occurred he was later taken to hospital were he was treated for minor injuries. The PSNI say they are currentl appealing for anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area between 9pm and 11pm to contact them.
